The following circular has been forwarded to the Mount Ida Jockey Club V Christchurch, 19th Nov., 1872: The Secretary .Mount Ida Jockey Club— . Srß,—l. beg to send you resolutions passed in connection with the late Metropolitan Meeting, held in Christchurch on the 7th', > Bth,.and,llth inst. I-am, sir, Your obedient servant, ' E. G. Griffith, '. r; ; Hon. Sec. C.J:C. A special meeting of .the Canterbury Jockey Club, held.at Tattersall's on the 6th instant, at 4 o'clock p.m. The following resolution was carried, viz.:— t" After hearing the circumstances connected xvith the sale by Mr. lied wood-to Mr. Walrers of the chesnub mare .Peeress, by'the P.*er out of Miss .Row yesterday", within fortyeight hours of the- time of starling for the Canterbury Cup, and the scratching'of the said mare for the said race by Mr. Walters, the Canterbury Jockey Club uuanimously agree that the said mare should be disqualified from ever again running on any racecourse where the Canterbury Jockey Club Rules are in force, and she is accordingly hereby declared disqualified."
