WARDEN'S COURT.—23rd May.
(Before H. W. Robinson, Es., "Warden.) Two applications by Messrs. Grayson and Peterson, for mining.leases at Clark's Diggings, were heard. The first was adjourned sine die, to see if it were possible that an amicable arrangement might be arrived at, failing which arbitration would have to be resorted to to fix the amount of compensation
to winch the Cornish Ymd Scotch party would be entitled for interference which would, by the granting of the lease to Grayson and Peterson, result to the company. A second application by the same parties for another mining lease, also at Clark's, and which was objected to by Messrs. Gogarty and Greer, was granted, subject to a tunnel as shown on the plan,, and which would be interfered with by the granting of the application. The remainder of the day was occupied in hearing over thirty applications for various mining privileges.
