(From our own Correspondent.) THE ALABAMA CLAIMS. ATTACK ON THE QUEEN. THE TICHBOENE CLAIMANT NONSUITED. THE CLAIMANT IN NEWGATE * GAOL.

Dunedin, Thursday, 4.49 p.m. - The Suez mail is telegraphed, bringing London date, March 10th.

The monsjbrous claims for inferential damages in the Alabama case has aroused strong indignation amongst all classes in England.

The German press particularly pronounces the claims as outrageous, and declares that Germany has a right to claim similar reparation from America for her assisting France. The national thanksgiving was an unqualified, success. The mani estations of loyalty were indiscribable. At Buckingham Palace the Queen was attacked by a youth named O'Connor who is said, to be deranged. He presented an unloaded pistol and a petition for the release of the Eenian prisoners. He was immediately overpowered, and committed for trial. The Queen showed no fear. In the Tichborne case the claimant has been nonsuited. The following day he was arrested for perjury, and conveyed to Newgate Gaol.
