(To Sir, —In your last aopeared a letter signed "Old Hundred,'' purporting to be a reply to ray communication, published by you in your issue of the 2nd inst.
A more perfect specimen of raw and absurd caricature it never fa-'e?v tv my lot to hear. It does not in the most remote decree touch upon t ! e matter which I desire to have; publicly discussed and ventilated:; but I still hope that some one will zealously take up the subject, and advance views capable of sound discussion. I will simply add that the muendo thrown out by your correspondent as to the authorship of my letter is most unwarrantable, and without the slightest foundation.— I am, &c., Preszyterianv
