<>u Sunday, the LLt i inst , a serious affray took place at Tinker's Gru ly, near Blank's, between some Europeans and Chinese, in ■■which one of the Europeans had. an arm broken, ami a Chinaman named Ah Lock received a very severe wound on his head. One version of the particulars 1 of this serious atfair is that a butcher sold a quantity of pork to a Chinaman who, upon re- ■ weighing it at his own tent, found the quantity to be considerably less, than what he had paid for. Upori back to the butcher with this complaint a dispute occurred, and Ah Lock is said then to have beon st ruck down by a blow with a shovel.

Several Chinese and Europeans'then came upon the scene, and a general row ensued, in w! rich a Europe at y oft he name of Robert Scott■ got-: one of his, arms broken, and'thr.ee of the Chinese severe flesh wounds.

Dr. Niven was called in to attend to Ah Lock, and we understand that he considers the wound in his head to be one..of-a very serious nature. ; .

A sworn information has been laid against. Frederick Morgan (of toe firm of Keenan and Morgan, butchers, ot St. Bathans and Drybread) charging him with wounding Ah Lock.
