Mares and Geldings allowed 31bs. No entries will be received for any of the above races, except upon this condition, that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out ol tne racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint. Entries to be received by the Secretary, at the Victoria Hotel, Mount Ida, before 6 p.m. on 9th January, 1872,—entrance money enclosed, with name, age, pedigree (if any) of the horse, name of the owner, and coior of the rider. Any jockey riding, except in colors entered, will be fined £1 Is. Five per cent, deducted from the gross amount of all stakes fur expenses. Horses walking over will receive 50 percent, of the stakes. 1 The Mount Ida Jockey Club rules will be strictly enforced. Any person entering a protest will have to deposit £2 ; and should such protest be deemed frivolous by the stewards, will have to forfeit tbe same.
