THE FINDING OF MOSES.
Here is a rhymed Hibernian version of the story of the finding of Moses : On Ay-lip's bank, contaguous to the Noile, King Pha-ra-o's daughther wint to walk awhoile, And pealing off her duds to take a schwim, Ran up the banks to dry her skhin ; And rushing thro' the rushes, thick and thin, Discovered the bashket that the choild lay in. And thin and there she cried, in accents woild, " Which av yees ladies owns this choild ? It's none o' your own, ye're quick to say, An' that's the thruth, I've known you many a day ; But since we've found him in this bed of roses, By all manes let us christen him Howly Moses."
