MOUNT IDA JOCKEY CLUB.

A meeting of the Mount Ida Jockey Club was held in the Victoria Hotel, on Monday evening last. Mr. W. Inder, the Vice-President, occupied the chair. The following members were present: —Messrs. Thomson, Hall, Francis, G-eorge, Chapman, Horswell, Foster, W Inder, Millar, Collett, Cain, Packman, Costello, Grace, Grumitt, Aitken, Laverty, and Wilson. The Treasurer read the financial statement, which showed the satisfactory balance of £llO 18s. in favor of the Club. The Chairman stated that the object for which the meeting had been convened was for the purpose of electing a Committee of Management for the ensuing year, and to make arrangements for a Spring Meet. The following gentlemen were elected a Committee of Management:— W. Inder, M'Phail, S." Inder, Foster, Laverty, Grumitt, Thomson, Lautour. Packman, George, Aitken, Millar. President, J. A. Houglas ; Vice-Presi-dent, W. Inder; Trustees, Messrs. Thomson, George, and W. Inder; Auditors, Messrs. Grumitt and Lautour ; Secretary, E. T. George. it was resolved that a Spring Meeting take place in connection with the Club, and that prizes to the amount of 4565 be run for. The meeting was then adjourned till Wednesday next, 9th instant, for the purpose of drawing up a programme and fixing the day of meeting.
