WARDEN'S COURT.
Thursday, November 10. (Before H. W. Robinson, Esq., Warden.) Macnamara v. Creighton.—This was an action to recover the sum of thirty pounds sterling, damages alleged, to have been suffered by plaintiff in consequence of several interferences with plaintiff's tail-race in Enterprise Gully. For the defence, it was sought to be established that the portion of the race with which defendant" had interfered was not the property of the plaintiff, he holding no registration certificate ; that the defendant held a certificate for the race in question, and had therefore a, lawful right to be there and do as he had done. The case, which was tried before assessors, occupied the Court from 11 a.m. till midnight, when the assessors, who had, in company with the Warden, visited the ground during the day, returned a verdict for plaintiff —£s damages with costs.
Holloioay's Ointment and Pills have Cured a Cancerous Tumour on the Head of a Person Seventy-three years old.—Extract from a certificate, made by Mr. Alexander Ayson, dated Marklands, N. 8., Nov., 1851:—"I hereby certify ! that I was afflicted with a tumour on my head, which the faculty termed cancerous, and that I was in the Perth Infirmary for some time under most eminent medical men, but deriving no benefit from their treatment, I left, and was induced to try Holloway's Ointment and Pills. After using them for a short period the tumour began to disperse, and it is now perfectly cured, although I am seventy-three years of age. .
