MAEREWHENUA.
Wahdex's Coum.—May 3
(before H. W. Robinson, Esq., Warden.)
' William Henry and Others v. John Evans. —This is a complaint for dissolution of partnership on the ground that the parties were unable to agree. At the hearing it appeared that two other persons named Heaton and Alexander were admitted on both sides to have equitable rights in connection with the partnership. The case was heard at great length, and the Court suggested a compromise. Ultimately, by consent of both sides, and of Heaton and Alexander, a judgment was given for the partnership to be dissolved, and for the three plaintiffs to receive £3O each fop their shares, and for the property to remain with Evans, Heaton and Alexander.
Application was made by John Evans to register, under the Limited Liability Act, the Beniomond Water Race and Mining Company (Registered). This company had originally been started under the title of the Enterprise, but the Warden had objected to register the company under that style, there being already two Enterprise Companies registered in the district—one at Naseby the other at Hyde. A large number of transfers were brought to the Warden for registration. Protection was granted to John Robinson and others for two claims on the reef near the Otekaike station, pending the erection of machinery and the cutting of a race from the Otekaike River to drive it.
A large amountof incidental business was transacted, and the Court did not rise till past six.
