ST. BATHANS.—May 10.

Warden's Court. Before H. W. Robinson, Esq., Warden.)

There was only one case in this Court. It was a claim for £ls, damage to a tail race, situate in Blue Gully, by the overflow of water from another race at a higher level. The damage was shown to have been occasioned in the manner 'complained of. The line of defence adopted was that the race from which the water had escaped was not the property of the defendants, but ir was fully made out that it was made use of by them, although they had no legal right to it. The evidence was very lengthy and confused. Ultimately the Court gave judgment £5 damages, and costs.

The Warden sat again the following morning, but there was no other bus? ness of public interest.
