CONVENT CONCERT
The animal concert by the pupils of the Brigidine Convent, was held in the Town Hall on Tuesday j evening before a keenly appreeia- , live audience. The front of the < stage was artistirally decorated , with flowers and made a pleasing , foreground to the charmingly costumed grouping of the pupils. The i programme was of a varied nature and provided full scope for the pupils to demonstrate the development they have made in their various studies. The. instrumental and Ivocal items were of a very high order and the elouetionary items indicated careful training, pronunciation and deportment being excellent. The humorous items, particularly “The Monkey and the Organ Grinder*” (with Pat Rarrat as the mischievous and lively mnntkey) and “l’.C. -10” (Leo t'ough--11 cv) fairly brought down the house. The programme as a whole was well up to the high standard of previous years and reflected credit upon the careful training, patience, and devotion of the nuns. The accompaniments were played by Misses K. Poore, M. Martin and Kona Fabian. At the conclusion of the concert, tlx* Kcv, Father Bronnn thanked the audience for their attendance and paid a well-deserved tribute to the excellence of the concert which reflected credit upon the nuns and the school.
