I<’A KM DU BAD LY BU’KXKD. The. need for farmers to exercise care when using sodium chlorate to spray ragwort was demonstrated near Stratford last Friday, when, after spraying, Gerald Heed, n farmer, was seriously burned about- both legs and hands, lie is now in the Stratford Hospital.

Mr. Heed was boiling a billy in a paddock on his father’s farm at To Fopo, and when he was lifting the Lilly off the- fire, a portion of his clothing burst into flames, and was burned off him in a few seconds. -The accident serves as a warning to farmers of the inflammability of sodium chlorate.
