WEDDING.
ROBINSON—BARTLETT. The marriage took place at All Saints’ Anglican Church, Palmerston North, on Wednesday, the 3rd inst., 01. Gladys Ellen, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Bartlett, of Palmerston North, and William Henry, second son of Airs. E. and the late Mr. F. Robinson, of Thynne Street, Foxton. Canon Woodward was the officiating minister, and Afr. Holmes Runnielcs presided at the organ. The church was prettily decorated for the occasion with flowers, and a floral hell was suspended over the bridal parly. The bride, who entered the church on the awm of her father, was daintily attired in a gown of ivory satin beanie. Her tight-111 ting bodice was out at the neeik to a small A 7 in front, which deepened at the hack, finishing with large bow on left side of waistline. Her sleeves were tight-lil ting and fell over her bands to a point. ’1 lie hemline of Hared skirt dipped gradually from the front to the back where it reached to her ankles. She wore satin shoes and stockings to tone, and a beautifully embroidered tulle veil, forming a (rain and caught to the head with orange blossoms. Tier only ornament was a necklace of pearls. The bride carried a shea I' of lillics with heather and maiden hair fern. Miss Ruby Bartlett, sister of the bride, attended as bridesmaid, attired in apricot georgette modelled on simple lines with uneven hem and cape effect, silver shoes, stockings to tone, and fell hat to match turned up off face, and carried a bouquet of roses, Iceland poppies and maiden hair ( fern. Little Joan Haynes, of Wellington, neioc of the bridegroom, acted as llower girl,
and looked sweet in a Kate Greenaway frock ol lido blue georgette and baud of blue (lowers round bead, carrying a basket of roses, delphiniums and maiden hair fern. She presented the bride with a lucky horseshoe as the bridal couple left the church. Air. AJclvoi*, of Palmerston North, carried out the duties of best man. Airs. Bartlett, mother of the bride, was attired in no,vy blue erepe-dc-elieno, and navy bankok hat with touches of red to tone. Mrs. Bartlett carried a posey of red roses, anemones and maiden hair fern. Mrs. Robinson, mother .of the bridegroom, wore a, dress of black erepc-de-ehene trimmed with lawn, black and white bankok hat, end black silk coat, and carried a posey of lavender and cerise flowers.
After the ceremony a reception was held at Coilinson and Chiniiingliame’s, where the bride and •bridegroom's mothers received the guests. The usual toasts were honoured, and congratulations extended to the young couple. The happy couple left later by ear for the honeymoon, the bride wearing a frock of beige celanese and silk coat to match, bankok hat, shoes and stockings to tone, and carried a fur coat. Their future home will be in Hawera.
