TOWN HALL. Glenn Tryon always a favourite with local audiences will reappear at the Town Hall tonight in "it Can lie Done,” a laughable comedy of a young nian to whom nothing was impossible. Glenn in his usual fresh and breezy manner becomes terribly embroiled’ in trouble only to find novel and amusing methods of blidling his way out. He is ably assisted by pretty Sue (Carol and between the two of them they supply an hour's highly t enjoyable entertainment which should be greatly appreciated', during these hard Limes. Other Aims on the same programme are “Seeing Sights” (Comedy), Cartoon and News. TALKIE OPENING NEXT WEDNESDAY. The box plan is now open at Heath’s for the grand opening of talkies in Fox-ton on Wednesday next. The Western Electric acoustic experts have during the last couple of days carried out their linal tests for sound, volume and purity of -tone and have expressed themselves as delighted with the results. The new Raytone screen lias been erected and all wiring completed inspected and passed so that everything is in readiness tor 8 o’clock, Wednesday night. In t ending patrons are advised to book seats and insure themselves against disappointment, A number of pictures have been reviewed and “The Last of Alt’s. Cheyney,” a Metro Goldwyn special, selected as the best for opening night. Prices will be: Circle 2/3, Stalls 1/6, Children 9d and 1/-. No extra charge for booking.
