THEFT AND FORGERY.
New Plymouth, Last Night. Upon a true hill being returned against him, William Hobnes, a drover of Stratford, pleaded guilty in the Supreme Court to eighteen charges of theft, forgery and uttering. Holmes was agent for a cattle dealer Alex MeMu Ilian who gave him a signed cheque hook to pay for stock purchased on liehalf of McMulliaii. Sentence was defenred.
