DONORS OF BLOOD WANTED.
The Palmerston North Hospital Board requires supplies of blood from suitable persons for blood transfusion purposes at the hospital.
“I can’t understand why ablebodied men won’t come forward and give blood,” the doctor added at yesterday's meeting. “There" is no pain associated with it, they will be doing a gtreat service to patients, and there are no after-ef-fects. In fact, a. great many individuals would feel a lot better with a. little less blood than they have got,” he added. “A payment of £2 2/- is made as well.” A member: Here is a chance for Mime of the unemployed. iDr. Ward stated that a porter at the hospital had given blood on no fewer than eight occasions. Sturdy some of the unemployed would like to earn a. couple of guineas. This morning a Himatangi settler communicated with the chairman and offered to donate some of bis precious fluid. Any person desirous of assisting in this connection should communicate with the medical superintendent.
