MARRIED WOMEN TEACHERS.
COUNTRY SCHOOL HOUSEHOLDERS OPPOSED. Oamaru, Nov. 14. The principle of the, appointment of married women teachers was stroi lgly opposed at a well-attend-ed meeting of householders of the Totara School last, evening. The meeting was held as the result. of a proposal to appoint as assistant a voting married woman whose husband is in a good position, and who has been married for onlv nine months.
