FOXTGN SURF AND LIFE SAVING CLUB.
A special meeting of the above was held last night presided over by Mr. M. E. Porreau (president). Also present were: E. Morgan, L. King, \V. Adams, 11. Perreau, \\ T . Hussey, G. Shaw, M. Baird, A. Alsop and the secretary (,J. Barra tt).
If was decided to hold a. series of social functions to raise funds to transport (he teams to and from, the beach during' the summer season.
The opening day was lixed for Sunday, November 30th, weather permitting. The Gin,l, instructor (Mr. R. A. Robbie) renorted that the teams were well in hand.
Mr. \Y. B. Also]) (late .secretary), was elected a vice-presi-dent. A vote of thanks was accorded Mi - . IDarter for his past services to the Club and tile best wishes extended to him in his new position.
ill was also decided to write the Maiiawatu Centre thanking that body for electing Mr. A. Aisop a vice-president. 'A'eeo-unts amounting to 14/9 were passed lor payment.
