MOTOR TRAFFIC ON FOXTONLEVIN HIGHWAY.
The results of ■ the tra,llic tally taken, ou the' Levin-Poxton highway during three days lust month were contained in the engineer's report at the ilorovvhenua County Coucil meeting on [Saturday, and were as follow: —
“October 2-7 was Labour Lay, stated the engineer in his report, and the greaL number of motor cycles were' apparently attending the Poxton motor sports. 1 am of opinion that, owing to the financial coinlition of Lew Zealand at the present time, there are fewer motor cars travelling over the road than when conditions are normal. However, the number of motor trucks recorded on the 2ULh shows that there is a very considerable amount of freight carried by road.” *■
