MOTORIST FINED FOR SPLASHING INSPECTOR.
Christchurch, Nov. 4. A 'City Council traffic inspector was keeping an eye on a motorist (ravelling along the Ricearton road recently when one driver came along, ran through a muddy puddle, and splashed him. “Got the lot,” complained the inspector. “I was in a mess.” As a result, John K. McAlpine, a station owfier, was to-day (lined 20/- and costs by Mr. E. D. Mosley, SIM., for failing to exercise sufficient care and splashing pedestrians. “It is a wonder to me,” said the Magistrate, “there have not been more prosecutions under this section. Some people aire very careless and inconsiderate,”
