THE HUNDRED MILE ROAD RACE.

The PalmeirstoiL North-Welling-ton road cycle race took place today and attracted a large field. Two local riders nominated, E. Robinson (45min.) and W. Hussey (2pmin.). This is Rolbinson’s maideu effort in the big event, but Hussey was last year’s winner. Robinson passed Giro ugh. Foxton iu the company of two other riders when he was going well. Hussey led a hunch of eight at about 11.25 and was also going well. Considerable interest was evinced in the race locally and a number of people lined up in Main St. to see the competitors pass through.
