News was received in Palmerston North yesterday ot (lie death al Teneriffo 'of Mr. Alex Matheson, son of the late Mr. .R. Matheson,-an early settler of lhe Ivairangn, and, Mrs. Matheson, who now resides at New Plymouth,. He leaves a widow but no family.
Cyril -Connor, the motor-cyclist of Kilbiriiie, Wellington, who was seriously injured when his vehicle skidded on the Hiniatungi highway last; ißaturday is now in a satisfactory condition. Connor is still an inmate of the Palmerston N. Hospital...
