FOXTON UNITED SPORTS ASSOCIATION.
COMMITTEE MEETING,
A committee meeting of the Foxton United Sports Association was held in the Racing Club office last Friday evening, presided over by Mr. W. T. Jewell (president). Also present were Messrs R. Bryant, S.. Austin, AY, E. and J. Barber, D. Christie, J. M.‘ Thomson, D. R. Barron, AY. Jewell jnr., H. Hamer and the secretary (Mr. J. C. Christie).
Apologies for absence were received from Messrs F. AYoods, S. Barber and R. Warwick. Mr. J. Linlklater forwarded a donation of £1 1/-. —The secretary .was instructed to write Mr. Linklater expressing the Association’s thanks for the donation.
PERCY COLEMAN TO ATTEND MEETING.
The secretary reported that an agreement had been come to between 0. Lundius and P. Coleman to ride a match race during the meeting.
This will be Percy Coleman’s first appearance since arriving back from the Isle of Man. APPOINTMENT OF OFFICIALS.

Messrs D. Christie, W. R. Thompson and 11. Hamer were appointed to assist the caretaker in the protection of the Racing Club’s property and it was decided to procure one hundredweight of wire to be erected to protect the (lower beds on the lawn. .
The matter of gate supervision was left in the hands of Mr. H. Reid.
GENERAL.
Mr. E. Richardson, of Palmerston North was elected a. new member of the Association. It was decided to ask Mr. .J. Newton to make arrangements for the installation of a buzzer on the course for race day.
The secretary was instructed to make application for the Palmerston Hospital Board ambulance to he in attendance on the course during the progress of the races. Mr. J. Joseph’s tender of £8 5/was accepted for the construction of a lap board. Various details were discussed and arrangements made for the erection of canvass signs in Palmerston North, Wanganui, Hastings and Levin to advertise the .meeting.
