A Line mystery melodrama, “The \ Via re Case,’’ will be to-morrow evening’s attraction at the Town Hall. To give away the plot of “Tbe Ware Case’’ would mar the pleasure of future audiences. It is sufficient, to propound the- problem: The young brother of Lady Wlare, bis father's sole heir, is murdered and Scotland Yard is brought in to solve the crime. A. letter from the hoy, after a quarrel with his sister, indicates suicide, but marks of violence are found on him. Both Lady Ware and her husband, Sir Hubert, are suspected. Finally a charge of murder is lodged against Sir Hubert. His wife no longer loves him, returning the affection of Sir .Michael Adye, but she persuades her lover to defend her husband. One more hint : the jury finds him "not guilty.” ’flu* murderer is still to he apprehended, llis identity is disclosed in the brief, sensationally dramatic climax.
The east is a very capable one, a brilliant performance being given by Stewart Rome, distinguished British actor, featured as Sir' Hubert. He has excellent aid from Betty Carter, lan Fleming, Cameron Carr, Syd Ellery and the other members of the cast. Director Manning Haynes has developed the story smoothly and with telling effect. Hb one who likes crime and mystery films should miss seeing “The Ware Case.”
A film adaptation of Hall Caine’s famous story, “The Manxman,” will bead next Saturday’s programme.
