THEFT OF LETTERS.
.POSTAL OFFICIAL ADMITS GUILT. Christchurch, Sept. 19. In the Alagistrate’s Court four charges of stealing letters and three of opening them were preferred against William Arthur Bowen, aged 19, a plostal cleYk stationed at Little River. A deteclive read a statement in which accused admitted taking small sums of money from three letters he opened. Accused pleaded guilty mid was committed for sentence.
