THEFT OF DIAMOND.
1 ATiOUREJR. SENTENCED. Wellington, Yesterday. Albert Edward LeGkie, a. labourer, aged 20, was sentenced by Mr. T. ID. McNeil to-day to four months' imprisonment for stealing' a diamond valued at £l2 10/-. The •police stated accused asked a jeweller to show him some diamonds and one was later found to be missing. Accused bad been discharged from the Borstal Institute Ibis year and was in employment, but was dismissed for laziness.
