T. B. SLIPPER’S APPEAL DISMISSED.

Wellington, Yesterday. The Bull Court te-day confirmed tin* convinction and sentence in the case of T. B. Slipper, solicitor.

The information against Mr. Slipper, who was a solicitor practising is Samoa, was laid by Inspector Bra.isby, of the Samoan Police. It charged him with defamatory libel against the Administrator in regard to recent events in Samoa. He was convicted by the Samoan Court, sentenced to three months’ imprisonment and ordered to pay a fine of £lO5. Subsequently his certificate to practice as a solicitor was cancelled.
