Mr. Edward Newman, ex-M.P., for this constituency, in his address at the local Lunch ICiilb today voiced the opinion that Foxton had not yet entered upon its period of prosperity, which would come when the flood waters of the Mann wain River were prevented from, rendering next to useless, thousands of acres of some of the best fertile, country in the Dominion.
