PERSONAL.
Mrs. S. E. Cowley has returned to Foxton after spending' a holiday in Wi&lington. A well known representative of one of Wellington's pioneer families, Mr. Charles Plimmer, who was in his 83rd year, died just before midnight on Monday. . He was the fourth son of 'the late Mr. John Plimmer, sometimes known as “The Father of 'Wellington.” At to-day’s Lunch Cluib meeting Mr. Murray was elected hon. secretary, vice Mr. IGorn resigned, for the balance of the year. A motion of appreciation was accorded Mr. I. Corn, who has now left the district, for his services as secretary to the Club.
