SCHOOL FOOTBALL
The Horowhenua Primary School representatives left yesterday for the Hutt A r alley, where they will take part in a quadrangular tournament together with Taranaki, Hutt and Rangitikei. A most interesting and instructive programme has been mapped out for the visitors, including visils to General Motors, Newtown Zoo, Alovietones, motor tour round Wellington, Auckland v. Wellington Rugby match, and a visit to Parliament, where they will he entertained to afternoon tea by the members of the respective districts. On AYednesday night they will he the guests of the Wellington Rugby Cnion at a farewell dinner, returning' home on Thursday. The following boys from Foxton are taking- part;—S. Bills, K. Coley, W. AlcPhail, W. Lee, I. Oumniertlold, and G. Gilmour. Air. C. Procter is manager of the team.
Through the generosity of Messrs Barron, Warwick and Judd, a fifteen of Sunday school hoys journeyed to llaines.se last Saturday to play the public school boys. A spirited game took place which resulted in a win for the visitors by S points to nil. The captains were: Baincsse, John Tennant: Foxton, Harold Newton, while Air. Mallard acted as referee. The game was very fast and thoroughly enjoyed by the spectators, among whom were a large sprinkling of adults. The teachers and committee of Baincsse school then entertained the team at afternoon tea which was enjoyed bv them equally with the game.
