JUNE WORKING, The nmount of gas luannfaehu’ed during the month of! June was 357,2110 ft., which with the amount in the holder on June Ist 17,000 ft. made a total of 374,200 ft. During the month 288,200 ft, was used by consumers, 21,000 ft, at the works and there was 17,000 ft. in the holder on June. 30th, making a total of 32f>,200ft. accounted for and leaving 48,000 ft, representing 12.8 per cent, unaccounted for. Thirtyfour tons lfiewt, of coal were carbonised, yielding 10,265 c.ft, of gas to the ton and producing 7 tons, of coke.
The receipts for the. month totalled £147 4/3 and were made up as follows: —Gas sales (lighting) £22 1/11, heat and power £ll4 18/5, coke sales £6 2/4, tar sales £3 15/0, services and fittings 0/1. The expenditure for the month totalled £213 10/8 and was made up, as follows: — Coal £97 8/11, salaries and wages £40,.-services and fittings £2 2/9, tools 14/fi, repairs £9 12/9, cartage and freight 6/-, working expenses 7/0, Interest and Sinking Fund £63 7/5.
