PLUNKET SOCIETY
The monthly meeting of the foxton Plunkef. Society was held yesterday afternoon. IVescul: Mesdames Trueman (chair), Christie, Bain, Edwards, Martin, I’e.rrcau, Adams, Tapp and Barron (bon. see.) Apologies for absence were received from Mcsdames f. Kobinson and A. Koss. 'J’lie number of .visits to the nurse for duly was Tl 7. -Mrs. .]. Martin was appointed visitor, for the month. •Mr. Corn's weighing machine yielded 4/10 for July. The secretary advised to order a " vigliing machine from Dunedin to weigh older children and thus help on the wo/k of the Society in dealing with children up to school age. An estimate was received for amended plan lor new rooms, and tenders will be invited at an oarlv date.
