MARTON JOCKEY CLUB
SPRING MEETING—Iith SEPTEMBER. The Marlon .Jockey Club will hold its Spring Meeting on Saturday, 6th September. This fixture is always popular with owners, and it is likely that this year a large number w[ll .patronise the meeting, as it precedes Ihe Wjangninii Jockey Chili’s Spring meeting on 11 111 nm! 13th -September. An attractive programme has been arranged, the chief event being the Marlon Handicap, of £2OO, 1J miles. Tin* Railway Handicap, of £l7O, 6 furlongs, liio Tutaenui Hack Handicap, of £l3O, 1 milt* and 137 yards, the Electric Hack Handicap, of £.130. 5 furlongs, the Trial Plate, of £I.OO, 0 furlongs,
and the Spring Hack Cup, of £l6O including a silver cup valued at £2O, 7 furlongs, are the other fiat events. Tin* Hunt Club Steeplechase, of £135 unit silver cup, about 21 miles, and the Rata Hack Hurdles, of £l3O, 11 miles, complete the programme. Nominations will dose with the secretary, Mr. A. Wpy, Marlon, at 9 p.m. on Friday, Aligns! loth, and stabling and accommodation for horses at the Club's hostel and stables will he booked mi application in the secretarv.
