At Wednesday evening’s annual meeting of the Foxton Racing Club, ihe Mayor (Air. AI. E. Perrcau) advanced ilie suggestion that, the dull should consider lop dressing and cultivating the inner area at ihe racecourse where SO odd acres ol land were isolated by the race track. He thought that this waste area could he converted into good I arming land, which would enhance the value of the Club's asset.

The president (Mr. \Y. E. Barber) agreed that the suggestion was a good one lint said that the Flub would lie put lo a considerable outlay to carry the work out, ami at the present time the Tilth had no funds to expend in such a manner. A' good deal of discussion ensued i n the proposal and it was finally decided to refer the matter to the -.towards for consideration.
