BASKETBALL AND FOOTBALL. Three teams from the local District High School journeyed to Marlon yesterday for the purpose oi meeting the .Marlon DistrictHigh School on the field of sport in .baskethall and football competitions. The weather was very cold and the grounds slippery. Foxton B basketball team was stiei essfiil in defeating Marton B hut Foxton A suffered defeat at the bands of Dfartou A, while the local football team was decisively beaten. At the conclusion of play the visitors were hospitably entertained to refreshments by the Marlon pupils.
