SARRON DEFEATS I.EUKIE. At Palmerston North on Tuesday i.ighl Pete Barron defeated Johnnie Leekie on points in a l.ii-voiiiid professional boxing' contest before a crowded audience. Barron dearie won most of the rounds, and made the pace a hot one, usually taking the light to Leekie, who a.I times was hard pur to counter tin* American’s furious two-handed hursts.
