FOXTON LUNCH CLUB.
MONTHLY MEETING. The usual monthly meeting of the Foxton Lunch Club was held in Whyte's Hotel to-day, presided over by Mr. .1. K. Hornblow. Also present were Messrs- J>. Christie, G. f- .Smith, W. ii. Walton, W. H. Ni. cliolas, R. M. Paiices, W. E. Bul.•■i ed, S. 11. Poole, W. Trueman, R. Foibie, F. 11. Murray, F. A. Mason, M. E. Herreau and the secretary (Mr. I. Corn). Mr. J. A. Smith (Engineer to the Horowhemin, Power Board) was welcomed as a’ visitor. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs M, B. Bezgin, G. M- llewelt, J. A. Aitchison and ■!. M. Thomson. The speaker was Mr. G. A.-Monk, of Waikunae, who tooik for his subject "The Main Highways Act: Experiences of its Administration.” Mr, Monk delivered a most interesting address, at the conclusion of which lie was accorded a vote of thanks on the motion of Messrs F. A. Mason and M E. Perrean.
