ENTERTAINMENT.

TOWN HALL. “The Nigh I Bird,” at the Town Hall on Saturday, is (he most hilarious Reginald Denny comedy seen \ of —and that is saying a lot about

our favourite comedian’s newest production when you remember “(lootl Morning Judge” and a few others. This is an entirely new story. It is about a prize lighter and his private life and how his manager insists that ho indulge in a few night excursions so that the public will tike him’ better and go to see him fight. Betsy Lee, a new discovery, lias the feminine lead and plays it with the grace of a veteran. She is very beautiful. In I act there are three beautiful girls in the cast as well as hundreds of the pick of' Hollywood’s atmosphere players. The other two girls are Corliss Palmer and Jocelyn Leo. They add much to the general air of hilarity. Sam Hardy and Harvey Clark put many more gay “kicks" in the picture while George Boolcasta, Michael Visaroff and Alphonse .Martel are splendid in more serious roles. Fred Newmeyer gets the credit for direction and he should be proud of his work. The photoplay, a fast moving story of the prize ring and New York’s night life, was adapted from a story by Frederick and Fanny Hatton. Also screening on Satur'•lay, “Good Scout" (Comedy), and Ni ws. Usual prices. Charlie Murray had some lively lu'imctits during the filming- of “Do 'lour Duty," his First National picture at the Town Hall next Wednesday. The script necessitated that he he slugged and.later doped and turned loose lo disgrace his policeman's uniform without being in the least responsible. He has all .-.oris oL‘ dillieiilties with crooks, and ai home he is overwhelmed by the children. But he conies out with a smile at fire finish and i v.-rvihody is happy.
