TOWN HALL. A girl who had known many men and a boy who had never had a. sweetheart —these two are thrown together for the winter in a lonely backwoods setting in “The River,” Frank Bore, age’s latest production for Fox Films, which will screen on Saturday at the Town Hall. Charles Farrell is the hoy—Farrell, who howled over audiences and critics alike with his performances of the featured masculine roles in “Seventh Heaven,” and “'Street Angel.” The girl is Mary Duncan, who captivated 'Broadway as Poppy in the sensational melodrama, “The Shanghai Gesture,” and sprang into screen fame as “The Woman” in F. W. Murnaii’s “4 Devils.” Both performers top anything they have done before in “The River.” The course of their awakening love is depicted in stirring fashion and the picture is climaxed with the return of the girl’s former loiver, an escaped murderer, in one of the screen’s outstanding punch episodes.

Thai remarkable equine screen star, Rex, who has already (tisplaved his I a Units in “Wfild Beauty,"

“Ho of heats- of Vengeance” and other Universal productions will appear on the screen again at the Town Hall on Monday in his latest picture “Wil,d Blood.” He is ably supported by Jack Perrin, Ethlyne Clair and Nelson McDowell, not lo forget another clever horse actor, Starlight.
