With attention focussed as at present on the Foxton rail way line, and the possibility of services being curtailed, figures relative to passengers and freight carried make interesting reading. This return does not include traffic, outwards from stations between Foxton and Longburn, which, during a year, is considerable. Inwards Traffic. It should he noted that under the heading, “other goods” for 1929, there is included 11,300 tons of road metal railed to the order of the Mnnawatu County Council from Terrace End pit. Figures for the year ended March 31st, 1930, are not availavle.
