COMING-OF-AGE PARTY.
An enjoyable, evening was spent at the Presbyterian schoolroom last (veiling, when a social was given by Air. and Airs, AlcEwan, of Coley Street, to celebrate the coining of age of their daughter, Lorna. During the evening a varied programme consisting of games and competitions was enjoyed. A moving picture programme of local events was screened by Mr. Corn and the musical items were given by Mrs. J. Ross and MV. Prentice. After a sumptuous supper, the Rev. W. H. Nicholas proposed the health of Miss AficEwan. Air. Ale Ewan suitjihlv responded on behalf of his da lighter. Among- the guests was .Mrs. .MeEwan sin-., of Tiakitahuna.. Mjiss McKwan was the recipient of a number of da inf ,v and useful presents from her friends.
