SWEDISH SCIENTIST TO REPORT. Weliinglon, Last Night. The Prime .Minister, in -a slatelncnl to tin- House this afternoon said the Government had arranged .o secure the services of a highly qualified engineering expert to report on tlie Arnpiini hydro-eleelrie works. Inquiries had been made Hi rough Ihe H igh Commissioner in London and also through the presidciil of the Institution of- Civil Engineers as to obtaining the services of a suitable man to investigate the Aruptini trouble.
As a result Ihe Government had decided In appoint Professor P. (}. Iloi-nell, of an eminent firm of Swedish civil consulting engineers.
Air. Foibes added that he had been advised by the High (Commissioner that Professor Horn ell would be accompanied by an experii need assistant on his visit lo New Zealand and lhal the-best arrangements for his passage to the Dominion would enable him to leave Soulliamploii on July 25, arriving at Wellington about August 25.
