YOUNG MAN CHARGED. , Gisborne, Yesterday. At the Police Court at Port Awanui, Leslie Cliffe Muuro, alias Roy Williams, alias Philip Neilson (23) pleaded not guilty when charged with a serious offence against a Maori girl of 14 years and 8 months. He was committed to the Supreme Court at Gisborne for ■trial. On two charges of theft and ■one charge of obtaining goods by fraud, Mtuiro was convicted and discharged. At Gisborne on Saturday Munro was committed ‘to Borstal for a period not exceeding two years on a series of charges of theft.
