REVIEW OF HALF-YEAR. The D.O.A. af Palmerston North has recorded a slight increase in the number of bankrupt vies tiled tor the half-year ended on June 30 ■-■im'[>a.t‘cd with I lie first six months of last year.

For the period just ended the number ol insolvencies totalled 18, only seven id' those being; from Palmerston North. There were four bankruptcies from foxton, two from Feikliug ami one each from Karere, Otaki, Cheltenham, Levin and Weraroa. Six Palmerston N. bankrupteius were recorded lor the half-year of 1920 when the number totalled 10.

The month just past saw four filings as compared with three for .lam: of last. year.
