• ; ♦ The Foxton school team played Oliau on the latter’s ground on Saturday and won, 7 —B. The game was a good one, both sides passing well and getting into position well. Oliau still resort occasionally to long throws, hut as a loam played much better than in their previous game with Foxton.
During the first spell Ohau had ihe advaniago of (he play and when half-time was called the score stood G—2 in their favour. In the second spell, however, Foxlon played hard and when time was called had brought the score up to 7 all. It was decided to play on until either side scored and after a most exciting‘five minutes of play Doris Alteliell scored the winning goaf. Fox I oil B—Ohau8 —Ohau 7. For Ihe Ohau team in lire goal and in the defence played well, while for Foxtun J. Alilciiell, 8. Te Awa and R. Hofmann did good work. The following was the Foxtou team:— Goals: R. Jones, D. Mitchell, R. Hofmann: centres: J. Mitchell, l>. Thompson, F. Room; defence: J. Barron (captain), (}. Te Awa, 1. Neville.
