WAIRABAPA DEFEATS ' HAWKE’S BAA 7 . .Chiefly through the splendid goal- kicking of F. Fuller, Wairarapa won the second of its home and home matches with Hawke’s Bay at Carterton on Saturday by 30 points to 19.
Fuller converted the three tries scored by \Vjairarapa and kicked five penalty goals; Hawke’s Bay’s score comprised five tries, two converted, and one penalty goal. 'Fuller’s kicking was, remarkable; lie missed only one shot at goal and that because lie neglected to go far enough back from the men on the mark, and of the 30 points registered by his side he was responsible for 24, as he also scored a try. But, though without him it is doubtful if the Wairarapa would have won, the home side was superior on the day’s play.
