WINTER SHOW AT PALMERSTON NORTH
ATTRACTIVE FOOTBALL PROGRAMME. The Winter Show at Palmerston North will open on Tuesday next 171 It June,- the officia l opening ceremony talking place at noon the following day when llis Excellency, Lord Blcdisloe will be *in attendance. For this year’s event a very attractive football programme has been arranged, the chief matches being IV Ante v. P. N. Boys’ High School on Wednesday at 2.150 p.m. when the Moascar Cup will be at Make, and Saturday at 2 p.m. Sa-t-red Heart College from Auckland will try conclusions with St. Patrick’s College of Wellington. The lilt ter match will attract the attention of the whole of the Dominion. On Thursday the sub-unions of TV Kuwait and Orotta will meet. Soccer enthusiasts will be catered for as a curtain raiser on Wednesday when Flock House and Athletic will take the field. On Thursday the curtain raiser will he between a team from the Feilding Agricultural College and the P.N. Boys' High School second fifteen. There will he no curtain raiser on Saturday. On Wednesday and Thursday mornings dog- trials will be the order of the programme there being u large number of competitors, while ou Friday the whole of the afternoon will he devoted to horse competitions. On all railways in the North Island there will be excursion fares and outside visitors to Palmerston North are assured of a hearty welcome.
