GOLF.

FOXTON LADIES DEFEAT LEVIN. Oil Saturday lady members of the Levin Golf Club paid a visit to the' Herrington Links where a friendly game, was played. Foxton players proved themselves superior and won the match by six games to two. Play resulted as follows, Foxton players , being mentioned lirst:— Mrs. Jagger won from Mrs. Denton, Miss G. Neylon won from Mrs. Park, Mrs. Moore won from Mrs. Hosie, Mrs. Stanley lost to Miss Clark, Mrs. Newton won from Mrs. Davies, Mrs. Easton won from Mi's. Bull, Miss Robinson lost to Miss Tuitvey, Mrs. Austin won from Miss Park. During tbe afternoon the visitors were entertained to afternoon tea by the local ladies and a most enjoyable time was spent by all.
