PLUNKET SOCIETY.
The monthly meeting of the local J 'Junket- Society was held on Monday afternoon, presided over by Mils. Periyau. Therje were also present: Mesdames Adams, Ed wards and Barron (lion.sec.) Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames If. Robinson, 'Christie, Trueman, Baker and A. Ross. The resignation of Mrs. Fcrgussou was received with regret, and Mrs. Tapp was unanimously elected to the vacancy on the committee. Mr. Corn's weighing machine yielded li/8 for April and May aud receipts from the uflice box for Lite same period totalled IS/DAAirs. D. R. Barron was appointed visitor for the month. Accounts amounting to f 7 1/ - were passed for payment. The nurse’s visits for April were as follows: To homes, two; office, adults, 57; babies, 51; older children, 34; making a total of 144 as against 1(51 for May (adults, 70; babies,' 57; older children, 34).
